Feeling Scattered? How a 60-Minute Reset Can Transform Your Week
Do you ever feel like your week runs away from you before it’s even started? The to-do list is endless, your brain is buzzing, and you’re not sure what actually deserves your attention first. I’ve been there, and the truth is, it’s not about working harder, it’s about taking a pause to reset.
That reset doesn’t have to take hours. In fact, just 60 minutes can completely change how your week unfolds.
Here’s how to use one focused hour to create more calm, clarity, and control.
Step 1: Clear the mental clutter
Before you can plan anything, you need to empty your brain. That’s where a brain dump comes in.
- Set a timer for 10 minutes.
- Write down everything on your mind: work tasks, errands, reminders, even worries.
- Once it’s all on paper, sort into 2 lists: must-do this week vs. can wait.
This simple step stops the swirl in your head and gives you something concrete to work with.
💡 “If you’d like a little help getting started, I’ve created a free Brain Dump Tool you can download here. It gives you prompts and space to get everything out of your head and onto paper.”
Step 2: Choose your priorities
Instead of trying to tackle everything, pick your top three priorities for the week.
Ask yourself:
- What actually moves me forward?
- What would give me the most relief if it was done?
- What can I realistically fit in around my life?
When you start your week with just three priorities, you’ll feel more in control, and far more likely to finish them.
Step 3: Map your time
Once you know your priorities, look at your calendar. Where can they realistically fit?
- Block out non-negotiables (appointments, family time).
- Add in “focus time” for your three priorities.
- Leave space for rest and flexibility, life happens!
This doesn’t have to be a colour-coded masterpiece. A few intentional blocks in your diary is enough to stop the feeling of chasing your week.
Step 4: Create small resets along the way
The magic of a reset isn’t just in the planning, it’s in the little check-ins that keep you on track. Try:
- A 5-minute desk tidy before you start work.
- Turning off notifications during focus time.
- Reviewing your week on Friday so you can adjust for next time.
These mini resets keep you moving without the chaos building up again.
My story
I used to push through the chaos, hoping I’d eventually catch up. But all that happened was more stress and less focus. Once I started giving myself 60 minutes to reset, everything shifted. Suddenly, I wasn’t starting my week from behind, I was starting from a place of calm and clarity.
Your next step
You don’t need hours of planning or a brand-new system. You just need one focused reset to bring order to the noise.
That’s exactly what I help you create in my Mini Audit.
 Here’s how it works:
- You fill in a simple form about what’s feeling messy right now.
- I review it carefully and record a personalised video with feedback, suggestions, and your next steps.
- You walk away with a clear, tailored reset you can put into action straight away.
It’s a quick, practical way to cut through the overwhelm and get back to a week that feels calm and doable.
